Founded by artist/designer Amy Wells (a.k.a. lucas) in 2003, lucasbags is a multifaceted company located in Tampa, Florida. lucasbags' philosophy of fresh design, in offbeat color combinations and textures, provides modish, one-of-a-kind artwork for the individual. lucasbags offers a variety of products, from our fiber arts (handmade bags) and the hippo sect (our conservation conscious allies), to our special hand-painted oil-on-canvas pet portrayals.
All lucasbags fiber arts are distinctively designed and sewn by hand to retain uniqueness and personality. The use of vintage, industrial, and new fabrics lends itself to our edgy style and is the vehicle through which we provide sturdy, stylish bags.
The custom Pet Portrayals are unique and the artistry speaks for itself.

about Amy Wells 
Amy Wells currently works in two mediums, oil-on-canvas and textiles. Her oil-on canvas paintings concentrate on animals as the figure. Amy's unique stylized interpretation of each animals beauty and personality is established by working with the animal's family to truly glorify the beloved friend. Her fiber arts include funni bunnies, nippy kitties (catnip cat toys) and large hippopotamus stuffed animals, the hippo sect, which help with hippo education and conservation as well as her one-of-a-kind bags and purses, known as lucasbags.
